Hi, I’m Patrick. 

I'm an experienced full-stack designer working as a Staff Product Designer for The Washington Post.

I've honed my craft through nearly twenty years in the design profession. I grow and learn with every project and I'm always looking for for a good challenge.

I'm a systems thinker who sweats the details. From micro to macro, problem to prototype, ideation to iteration, collaboration to presentation, design vision to design systems, I’m hands-on–all the way to handoff and beyond.

Before coming to the Post I worked for Gannett and the USA TODAY Network. While I was primarily focused on newsroom tooling I did a lot more in the almost seven years I spent with the company. Highlights include:

Before Gannett I worked at U.S. News & World Report, designing rankings pages, advertising proposals, and lead generation interfaces.

And finally, my first job after college was with Army.mil, "The Official Homepage of the United States Army", where I worked my way up from an entry level position to the top of the design organization.
